The Men Who Built America Premieres October 16th

The Men Who Built America chronicles the lives of Cornelius Vanderbilt, John D. Rockefeller, Andrew Carnegie, J.P. Morgan and Henry Ford. These entrepreneur laid the founding bricks for modern America and embodied the American Dream by building empires and making incredible advances in technology to change the world. The eight-hour event series premieres on Tuesday, October 16 at 9 p.m. on the History channel and will tell the story of each of these entrepreneurs through their own unique point of view.

Leading up to the premier of the event and in anticipation CEO Blog Nation will spotlight each of these titans. These men were not born affluent, rather through hard work, discipline and sacrifice, they embodied the American Dream. Vanderbilt was one of the trailblazers that understood the impact that railroads could have on how products were shipped, creating the model for the modern railroad system. Carnegie developed the process for mass-producing steel, which eventually led to large skyscrapers and buildings. Rockefeller found a method to refine oil that set the standard across the world. Morgan created the modern financial system as we know it. Ford made the car accessible to the world.

The History channel series will also feature insight and perspective in interviews from present-day entrepreneurs Steve Case, Mark Cuban, Donny Deutsch, Carly Fiorina, Alan Greenspan, Dick Parsons, Ron Perelman, T. Boone Pickens, Charles Schwab, Jack Welch and Steve Wozniak.
