Entrepreneur Providing Networking Experiences Through a Networking Hub for Minority Millennials

Marty McDonald

Dallas-based organization, Boss Women Who Brunch continues to revolutionize the way millennial women network. As a curator of networking experiences, owner Marty McDonald is committed to helping women cultivate their dream careers by providing tips and tools from professionals in a way unlike others. Boss Women Who Brunch  strives to be as inclusive and innovative by catering to diverse crowds, especially minorities. Through strategic speakers and exclusive material focused on getting a seat at the table, each event helps to initiate and maintain unity among corporate and entrepreneur hustlers internationally. We had a chance to interview Marty and asked about her story, how she started her organisation and the future of Boss Women Who Brunch.

Tell us your story. Why did you start your business?

I created boss to form a community for women who wanted more. We can easily feel isolated while trying to climb new heights, no matter if you are a corporate queen, side hustler or entrepreneur. I desired a space that would give women valid tools, attainable resources and a place where true connections could be formed.

How did you come up with your business name?

At the time Brunch was a day part where women could truly let their hair down and relax. I wanted it to signify strong, smart women dominating in their respective disciplines so then Boss Women Who Brunch was formed.

Tell us about your products and services. How do you help clients?

We create experiences to help women connect and gain tools that will propel them forward in their careers. We show real women that desired the same as our community to show them how they were able to create more. We also pride ourselves in connecting women in a seamless organic manner through experiences with brands we love.

What makes you unique?

We are unique bc we ensure that you leave every event with a connection. Someone that can potentially be our communities new business bestie.

Where do you see your business in the next 3-5 years?

We will be a bigger community impacting a global stance of connecting women together with digital tools & experiences that happen throughout the globe.

Any advice you would give to entrepreneurs and business owners?

Stay consistent & create new connections. What truly equates to success is consistency and connection.

What is your favorite business quote and why?

Comparison is the thief of all joy. We often want to compare our journey to others and when we focus on someone else so hard, it distracts us from crushing our own goals.

What have been some of your achievements that you are most proud of? Why?

Showing up even when I don’t want to and I’m tired, stressed and not always sure how things will work out. I pride myself with my grit of always showing up.
