30 Entrepreneurs Explain Their Major Accomplishments in 2022

The end of every year is the opportunity to reflect on a 365-day journey. 2022 may have been a bad year for some; to others, it was a great one. Many businesses were launched and others were closed. Pivots were made and goals were shattered. In the last few days of 2022, we asked a few entrepreneurs and businesses what their biggest business accomplishments were.

#1- Everything

It has been a hard year for me personally and emotionally. I have struggled with changes in my relationships, the feeling of being alone, and overall life in general as a young professional jumping into the real world. I am proud of everything I have accomplished in 2022 despite these challenges. I am proud I have worked diligently to be my best self, produce my best work, and keep my client's best interest a priority, no matter what. Even on my worst days, I have stayed true to my character.

Thanks to Hallie Myhre, Ranch & Resort Realty!

#2- Growth among Thrivers

My biggest joy is growth among Thrivers on so many levels. As an agency, we grew even bigger this year and were named by Inc. 5000 as one of the fastest-growing companies for the 6th consecutive year. But on a more personal level, I feel accomplished when I learn about individual growth across the team — from moving into a new home in a different state, living abroad as an exchange student, traveling miles away to run a not-for-profit organization and so many others as they continue to put in excellent work for our agency and clients.

Thanks to Matt Bowman, Thrive!

#3- Trade shows bouncing back stronger

As a company headquartered in New Orleans, I’m proud to see so many trade shows, conferences, and events bouncing back stronger than ever in 2022. New Orleans is known for hosting incredible events, and it’s great to see the city thrive while providing opportunities for businesses to market themselves. I am a firm believer that times of economic uncertainty can be opportunities for brands to promote themselves and make connections while there’s less competition.

Thanks to Thomas Samuels, Cardinal Expo!

#4- Overcoming the pandemic blues

The fact that we have been able to overcome the pandemic blues, improve our market outreach, make some well-timed hires and increase our baseline sales (over 30%) is something I am most proud of in 2022. As tech layoffs are happening en masse, I am proud that we are not compelled to look at layoffs or hiring freezes as the revenue growth and demand for our product/service, especially in cybersecurity, keeps improving. We have built a great team, which I am very proud of!

Thanks to Brian David, CallerSmart!

#5- My fidelity to my fitness commitment

My fidelity to my fitness commitment is a thing that I am proud of in 2022. Besides professional growth, I promised to give more time to my health. Even though I have been trying to indulge in healthy habits for two years now, some sicknesses and guesses make me too physically and morally weak to follow a fixed fitness regime. But this year I have successfully taken care of my health so far. Succeeding in keeping my long-term unfulfilled new year's resolution in place is my this year's achievement.

Thanks to Cynthia Hamilton, Oglf!

#6- Leading my team

2022 Has been a very dicey year. The year was full of ups and downs of all sorts. It was more about the ups and downs of everything in life. I have been able to lead my team in a better way which makes me feel proud and happy. All of the employees are better and have shown equal support and understanding towards the work and the demands after the reopening of the office. Working from home was easier but it is also important to make sure that we can come back to the offices rejuvenated and happier to finally work from the office.

Thanks to Jordon Scrinko, Precondo!

#7- Getting Series-A funding

Our company was fortunate to achieve success with Series A funding this year. For that, I am incredibly grateful to our hardworking team and our investors. In addition, I am thrilled about this progress because it allows us to expand our services geographically across the country. Hence, we will be able to provide quality, affordable dental care to many more people without requiring dental insurance. We believe that everyone should have access to the best dental treatment, regardless of their financial circumstances.

Thanks to Dr. Miles Beckett, Flossy!

#8- Finding a way to give back to my community

I was born and raised in Mexico but currently, I live in beautiful San Diego California. I have always felt very connected to my country and I wanted to find a way to give back to my community. With Virtual Latinos I found the opportunity I was looking for to help many people and make a positive social impact while running a successful business. I am very proud and happy about what we have accomplished. We created this beautiful community of amazing and talented Latino professionals, rich in culture and diversity.

Thanks to Jaime Nacach, Virtual Latinos!

#9- Exceeding my goals

In 2022, I set the bar high for myself in terms of what I wanted to achieve within my company in terms of the quality of my work and productivity. Now that 2022 is coming to an end, I know I’ve exceeded my goals. The quality of my work has been recognized, which was not why I set the goals that I did, but it’s good to know that I’m appreciated. The greater reward is that I’m proud of myself and my work and feel that I’m providing something of value.

Thanks to Carolyn Young, Step by Step Business!

#10- Improving my company’s productivity

I have improved my company’s productivity by improving the quality of my employees’ work. I have increased my company’s efficiency by reducing the amount of time that it takes to complete a task, and have decreased the amount of time it takes to find the solution to an issue. I have reduced the number of mistakes made by my employees and increased the amount of quality work completed. Our team has worked tremendously hard to achieve all of this in 2022 and the results are quite promising for what 2023 will look like.

Thanks to Kamil Kowalski, LimakWay Remodeling!

#11- Hiring 2 assistants for my business

I've been hesitant to hire help for a while because of mindset issues. I thought I could manage it all myself and that nobody would be able to do the same tasks with the same amount of quality and care. I also had difficulties trusting people and giving access to passwords and other private information. These 2 assistants have not only helped me grow the business, but they've also saved me so much time that I can now use to spend with my children and to pursue other meaningful passions.

Thanks to Jacqueline Gilchrist, Mom Money Map!

#12- The team I hired in 2022

I am proud of the team I hired in 2022. They have been really helpful and efficient in their skill sets. They have been able to help me with my business, as well as provide support for the other employees. I am proud to say that they are a part of my team and I know they will continue to be an asset to the company. They are all talented and hardworking individuals who are dedicated to achieving our goals. They are also a great support system for me as I continue to grow in my position. They provide me with feedback, advice, and help in any way they can.

Thanks to Thomas Niemczewski, Dream Chasers!

#13- Launching a business during the pandemic

I'm most proud of launching a business during the pandemic and celebrating its first year last September. I'm thankful to everyone on the team who worked hard to keep the company afloat at a time when most small businesses were closing. The second thing I'm proud of is revising and structuring the education program to make it more learner-centric. We used our pioneer customers' feedback to improve the course and provide an enhanced version of the program that makes learning easier.

Thanks to Daniel Apke, Land Investing Online!

#14- Awarding scholarships to students

This year, my company took a deep dive into our philanthropy. We’ve awarded scholarships for students pursuing advanced Arabic studies for US citizens. We know there is no standard of education, so we’ve loosened our requirements to incorporate remote programs — you just have to show mid-level competency in Arabic to apply. We also started promoting pro bono translation services for public service projects, and volunteer translations for Wikipedia articles.

Thanks to Will Ward, IndustryArabic!

#15- Graduating, new job, and relationships

As I look back on the past year, I am filled with pride at all that I have accomplished. First and foremost, I am proud to have graduated from college. It was a long and difficult journey, but it was worth it. I am also proud of my new job. I worked hard to find a career that I am passionate about, and I am excited to start my new adventure. Finally, I am proud of my relationships. I have made some great friends this year, and I am looking forward to spending even more time with them in the future.

Thanks to Bashar Sunny, vivipins!

#16- Increased customer loyalty

I am proud of the fact that I have increased customer loyalty by providing them with good service. I take pride in making sure that your needs are met and in providing you with a good experience. I am able to keep them coming back for more. I've been able to do this by creating a personalized experience for each customer that they can't find anywhere else. I am proud of the fact that I am able to provide an exceptional experience and make my customers feel like they are my only priority.

Thanks to Dr. Cary Goldstein, Goldstein Dental Center!

#17- Retaining my workforce

2021 was one of the worst years of my career. My business and I lost so much. But as 2022 began, I promised myself I would set things right again and do better. My biggest accomplishment this year has been retaining my entire workforce. I lost a lot of my employees to the Great Resignation in 2021. But this year we made considerable efforts to avoid it happening again. We offered better benefits, improved policies and culture, and focused on corporate wellness.

Thanks to Mark Sadaka, Sadaka Law!

#18- The progress made by my country

I am proud of the progress my country has made in reducing poverty and increasing access to education and health care. I am proud that we have been able to improve the standard of living for all citizens and that we are now a beacon of hope for other nations looking to improve their own socioeconomic conditions. It is my hope that by 2022, we will have eradicated poverty altogether and that all citizens will have access to quality education and health care. I believe that with hard work and dedication, anything is possible!

Thanks to Luke Fitzpatrick, Drsono!

#19- My professional achievements

I'm most proud of my professional achievements when I Was a sales manager and managed to build an excellent sales team. I mostly worked with young people who were inexperienced, so it was difficult in the beginning. I had to teach them everything and help them overcome self-doubt, rejection, and other challenges that every salesman experiences at some point. We became the most successful sales team in the organization eventually through an effort from everyone on the team including myself.

Thanks to Davin Joseph, MyEnamelPins!

#20- Still doing what I love

I'm proud to say that in 2022, I'm still doing what I love – working in real estate and leading my investment company. I'm also proud that I continue to learn new things about real estate every day and apply those lessons to my client's experiences in a way that helps them make better decisions. I'm proud to be able to help people find their dream homes while also making sure they don't get taken advantage of by sellers or other agents. I am proud of what I have accomplished and have been working with my company.

Thanks to Shaun Martin, Cash For Houses!

#21- Creating an inclusive workplace culture

As a business owner, I have always wanted to strive for an environment that reflected inclusivity. As of now, I feel like it’s happening, and I’m so glad I’ve accomplished this goal. The idea was to create a safe space for my employees so that they felt heard and recognized. So I revamped all strategies and took them a step further to foster a personal connection with all my employees. I truly believe that it has created a healthier environment which has positively impacted our performance levels.

Thanks to Alex Williams, FindThisBest!

#22- Hitting the big screen

As years go by, 2022 has been epic for Custom Neon! We have won awards, been endorsed by celebrity clients, increased turnover, and landed our first TV show collaboration, with Love Island Australia! We provided 30 LED neon signs for the iconic villa and seeing them on the big screen has been surreal! The accomplishment I am most proud of though is how well the team integrated to see this deal come to fruition.

Thanks to Jake Munday, Custom Neon!

#23- Many different areas

I've worked hard to improve my writing skills, and I've been published in several magazines and online publications. Also, my real estate business is going great, and I've helped many people buy and sell homes. I'm also proud of my work with various charities, and I've been able to raise a lot of money for good causes. Finally, I'm proud of my personal life accomplishments, such as maintaining a healthy lifestyle and being a good husband and father.

Thanks to Matt Teifke, Teifke Real Estate!

#24- Expanding my business

The one accomplishment I am most proud of in 2022 is expanding my business internationally. I was terrified of taking such a big step. But I overcame my fears and scaled my business. I have to say that I couldn’t do it without help from my talented team. We spent day and night doing thorough market research and understanding customer preferences in the country we planned to expand to. It took a lot of blood, sweat, and tears to reach here. But I am glad that we didn’t lose hope. Instead, we always pushed ourselves forward and strived for the best.

Thanks to Cody C. Jensen, Searchbloom!

#25- Going digital

One of my biggest accomplishments in 2022 was launching my business in the digital world. I created an online store where my products were available to both local and international audience members. We created enticing product descriptions followed by high-quality pictures so that consumers could add items to their carts without thinking twice. This measure has also helped us save costs as a physical store was no longer needed, leading to a reduction in utility expenses.

Thanks to Jamie Penney, TheBackyardPros!

#26- Expanding IV Vitamin therapy

In 2022, I am proud of expanding IV Vitamin Therapy- a modern spa-like experience to better manage the aging process and obtain a greater quality of life. *With the pandemic and many adverse business scenarios, when even survival was tough, we continued our struggles to spread awareness to the masses about IV Vitamin Therapy through different channels, and eventually, we succeeded in attracting the audience that helped us thrive in many destinations.

Thanks to Sam Tejada, Liquivida!

#26- Being one of the top casting agencies

We are proud to say that we have successfully garnered the honor of being one of the top casting agencies in Australia this year. It was the product of years of hard work and resilience, especially during the height of the pandemic. None of it was easy, what with the entertainment industry undergoing a momentary low and with our company being forced to go remote. But with the support of our indefatigable team, we managed to not only survive but also thrive and emerge at the top of the food chain as the year ends.

Thanks to Adam Jacobs, Bubblegum Casting!

#27- Building a great team

As an entrepreneur, my greatest accomplishment for 2022 was building a great team and improving the onboarding process, particularly for our Writers. Creating a cohesive team that works well together is essential for any business, but it can be especially challenging for startups. By taking the time to carefully select and train new employees, I was able to create a team that was both productive and efficient. Additionally, streamlining the onboarding process made it easier for new employees to get up to speed quickly.

Thanks to Jay Pearson, ReviewsWhiz!

#28- My commitment to providing exceptional service

I am proud of my commitment to providing exceptional service to my clients. I have a proven track record of helping clients successfully navigate the home-buying process. I have helped them understand the market, find homes that meet their needs, negotiate for the best price, and close on their new homes. I believe our company will continue to grow because we offer an innovative approach to home buying: we take away all the stress from the process and make it fun!

Thanks to Jacob Butler, Hunter Gather!

#29- Being part of my client's transformation

Being part of my client's transformation, and being able to witness their healing journey and their personal progress as they work towards achieving their goals is one of the achievements that I am proud of this year. 2022 has been a challenge for most with the pandemic, ever changing restrictions, but we are still responsible for putting food on the table, caring for elderly parents, children, ill family members, and the list goes on. Above all this, we have to take care of our business. This ain't easy.

Thanks to Preshela Palanyandy, Mindful Mind Legacy!

#30- Helping so many athletes

I'm proud of many things that my company has accomplished, but I wanted to focus on my recent accomplishment – being a help to so many athletes during the COVID-19 pandemic. We've been able to stay open and help both professional and amateur athletes train during a time when their seasons were canceled or postponed. It's been really gratifying to be able to help people stay active and fit during such a difficult time. I'm also proud of how my team has stepped up and come together during this time.

Thanks to Matt Wilson, Lift Your Game!
