30 Entrepreneurs Discuss Whether or Not There Will Be More Entrepreneurs in the Future

Every waking day, we are having tremendous changes in regulations and technology which greatly affect the way businesses operate. Some entrepreneurs will say the future is definitely bright and the number of entrepreneurs will increase but others argue these changes are meant to work against budding or would-be entrepreneurs. Growing empowerment and embracing individuality is motivating more people to begin their entrepreneurship journey. But the big question, will there be fewer entrepreneurs in the future?

We asked entrepreneurs their thoughts on the future of entrepreneurship and here’s what they had to say;

#1- There’ll be an increase in the number of entrepreneurs

There’ll be an increase in the number of entrepreneurs in the future as the world is becoming a digital hub, and tech-savvy people stand a chance. As an entrepreneur, if one can command a solid online presence that is relevant, it is easy to succeed. The new world is opening up various services, and people always want to experiment and experience something different. Hence, entrepreneurs will be on the rise.

#2- The number of new entrepreneurs has been increasing

The number of new entrepreneurs has been increasing annually. Aside from many young people wanting to break away from salaried jobs, it's probably because it's now becoming easier to be an entrepreneur. Technological innovations make entrepreneurship more accessible to a lot of people. Aside from that, the entire model for global entrepreneurship is evolving at high speed due to digitization. People are much more at ease with using new technology.

#3- There will likely be fewer entrepreneurs

Though the internet has enabled entrepreneurs to flourish lately, there will likely be fewer entrepreneurs in the future as people seek stability. The world is becoming ever more unpredictable, & this instability will lead people to jobs they trust will provide consistency. Entrepreneurship is a fun and energetic lifestyle for bold personalities, but courage is not evenly distributed among us. A shaky daily existence will drive prospective entrepreneurs to more mundane jobs that are safer for their future prospects.

#4- More and more people will become entrepreneurs

There will be more and more. For one thing, there is an aging population in Western countries, where family businesses are still a major source of employment, who will eventually have to find replacements. The numbers may grow if people start coming out of unemployment & need to create jobs for themselves. I think more & more people will become entrepreneurs because it will be easier to do so. Successful businesses have helped pave the way for entrepreneurs, both before and after the Internet boom.

#5- Budding entrepreneurs now have more resources

There will be more entrepreneurs because budding entrepreneurs now have more resources. It’s becoming easier & easier to gain the right skills, connections, & resources to have your own business. The technological innovations, paired with the economic developments that are happening in our time, are pushing more people to be self-employed & venture in their own ideas. Today's generation finds more value in starting & growing something of their own rather than working endlessly for someone else.

#6- The number of digital entrepreneurs will continue to rise

Starting a digital business is becoming easier & easier each day, & this is drawing more people into entrepreneurship. In the future, the number of digital entrepreneurs will continue to rise. There are so many opportunities to start a business for anyone willing to take advantage of them, & that number grows each day. anyone who has ever dreamed of owning a store can quickly diversify. Entrepreneurship is the way of the future, as well as today.

#7- The number would rise due to technological advancements

The number of entrepreneurs would rise in the coming years due to technological advancements. Digital transformation has created several new opportunities for startups to diversify their service offerings and enter new markets. Today, you don’t need a well-furnished office equipped with modern facilities to start a business. Instead, you can become an entrepreneur by establishing a virtual business like an e-commerce platform or digital marketing agency by working in your room.

#8- Experts believe that the number of entrepreneurs will increase

There is no easy answer to the question of whether there will be more or fewer entrepreneurs in the future. However, some experts believe that the number of entrepreneurs will increase in the coming years. This is due to a number of factors, including the globalization of the economy and the increasing availability of capital. Additionally, as more people become aware of the potential rewards of entrepreneurship, they may be more likely to take the plunge into self-employment.

#9- Entrepreneurship is moving towards its golden age

My prediction is that entrepreneurship is only just moving towards its golden age & current generations stand to witness a revolutionary change in the way the world perceives entrepreneurship. As early as the next decade, almost every individual will be able to associate their talents & work offerings with potential business value rather than just a fixed salary. Every person will soon be an entrepreneur in their own right, selling their work at a price they decide and on terms that are unique to their own priorities.

#10- The pandemic has opened doors for entrepreneurs

The pandemic has opened doors for entrepreneurs and altered the way businesses operate – maybe for the better. New solutions that work anywhere will distinguish the future of entrepreneurship. Companies are discovering that remote work is a cost-effective and productive alternative because of the developments in broadband & cloud computing. There are many organizations currently that employ candidates who perform all or most of their work/job from home, & this trend is growing at a rapid pace.

#11- The world is entering an exciting new era of entrepreneurship

That means more women, more young people, and more entrepreneurs with different
backgrounds. Pandemics have created opportunities for entrepreneurs & have probably changed the way we work forever. The entrepreneurial spirit of the future is defined by new solutions that work everywhere. Location-independent solution managed by remote workers. Nowadays people with high skills want to work individually instead of
working under some organization.

#12-  Entrepreneurship will increase in the near future

Entrepreneurship is headed towards location-independent companies that can be run from a laptop anywhere in the world. Automation will be key because there will be ways that technology can do some aspects of running a business far faster & more effectively than a human can. Automating admin and standard business processes will allow more space for creativity. It will likely be carved by those who seek opportunity, who aren’t happy to stand still and accept the way things are to be optimal. This definition of
entrepreneurship, to drive for opportunity is more eternal in this context.

#13- The future is digital and with this comes more opportunities

The future is digital & with this comes more opportunities for entrepreneurs in all locations, regardless of how remote, to launch their careers. Stronger, more reliable connections, advancing technologies, & ability to work wherever & whenever suits all mean that the opportunities available to entrepreneurs become more appealing & anyone with a bright enough idea to sustain themselves. The inevitable conclusion is that as the century progresses, we will see wave after wave of new entrepreneurs.

#14- The future is ripe for more entrepreneurs

The future is ripe for more entrepreneurs! More new businesses are being launched every day and across all industries and with the help of online incorporation services it has never been easier or more streamlined to begin. There are even thought leadership articles that discuss celebrating the launch date of a startup like that of a baby shower. Starting a business might become a major life milestone in the lives of potential entrepreneurs everywhere!

#15- The number of entrepreneurs will continue to grow

I expect that the number of entrepreneurs will continue to grow in the future. We live in such a fast-paced digital world, with an increasing need for faster solutions which in turn creates opportunities for those with foresight & a built-in entrepreneurial spirit. Those who are tech & digital savvy will choose entrepreneurship over further education fueling entrepreneurial growth. The tech & digital spaces are continually evolving so experience whilst working on your ‘idea' will help entrepreneurs realize their goals faster.

#16- The trend is toward a new generation of entrepreneur

The trend is toward a new generation of entrepreneurs not in the sense which was intended in the past. Since technology advances at high speed, people, most of all the youngest are pushed to be innovative, and creative, looking for viable solutions and seizing new opportunities on the fly. More and more people are creating their business online, developing it through social media. Keeping an eye on new trends, by identifying what is lacking on the market or what can be improved is the key.

#17- The future is being built for entrepreneurship

The future is definitely heading towards a digital one, and it is empowering the young generation to just go for it and become entrepreneurs. Today, starting a business has become near-effortless, at least in terms of capital. You can set up a virtual shop, have plenty of options to showcase products you do not physically have, and you can even offer your services from the comfort of your own home. SMEs are already taking over the world, and they are employing around half of the population worldwide, which is contributing up to around 55% of the developed economies' GDP.

#18- An increase in young people starting their own businesses

Being an entrepreneur has changed dramatically over the past few decades, from an ingenious way of expressing unemployment to a successful individual running a profitable business. Entrepreneurship will continue to evolve,& several critical tendencies are already appearing that indicate the route it will take. One of the most significant shifts I believe we'll see in the next years is the increase of young individuals who, rather than joining pre-existing enterprises, start their own.

#19- Entrepreneurship will continue to grow

The answer here is quite simple: entrepreneurship will continue to grow. Here’s the thing, people are waking up to the realities in front of them. The internet and the access to information it has granted us have led people to realize that their dreams can become a reality. They don’t need to have a 4-year education at an Ivy League university in order to make it. They can teach themselves everything they need to know from home. This has led many, who previously felt restricted in their choices, to become self-employed.

#20- The future of entrepreneurship is bright indeed

The future of entrepreneurship is bright indeed as people will prefer self-employment. Apart from being encouraged, it will be highly competitive. We have hit a tipping point, and we, the entrepreneurs believe, where young professionals see an illuminating future working for themselves rather than someone else, putting various new business owners into this business ecosystem. The workforce has become more nimble, on-demand, and entrepreneurial.

#21- It's indeed becoming easier to become a global entrepreneur

The whole model for global entrepreneurship is increasing at high speed. The future will be explained by digital. The World Economic Forum's Future of Jobs survey discovers rising demand for skills, for example, active learning, flexibility, & stress tolerance. The number of new entrepreneurs in the US has been rising annually since 2004. But during the global financial crisis, the number fell. In 2008, the number of new businesses registered reduced by 5% compared to the previous year.

#22- Becoming an entrepreneur has been easy in recent times

Becoming an entrepreneur has been easy in recent times; with advancements in technology, favorable money policies for startups, and the internet serving as a bank for knowledge, starting your own business has never been easier. If the nation’s growth and development continue at this rate, then they're definitely will be more entrepreneurs in the future. Nowadays, people are on a quest for independence- they want to be free of bosses and unnecessary work policies- and this drive alone can birth the zeal to be an entrepreneur and a good one at that.

Thanks to Emma Gordon, USSalvageYards!

#23- The entire global entrepreneurial model is rapidly shifting

The most crucial trend for entrepreneurship in the future is that the link between new business ideas and employment creation will deteriorate. Only a few years ago, most new businesses required workers almost immediately, even if only for administrative responsibilities. It is getting increasingly simple to establish a global business. The entire global entrepreneurial model is rapidly shifting. The digital era will shape the future.

Thanks to Cindy Corpis, SearchPeopleFree.net!

#24- There will almost certainly be more entrepreneurs

Uncertainty in the economy is undermining the security of C-Level jobs in established, large corporations. Some of this talent will see their skills put to better use in their own startups. The shift in expectations of workforce location brought on by COVID is adding to the sense of uncertainty in a time of rapid, unanticipated change. While some will respond with fear and inaction, others will maintain clarity & confidence so they can see these dynamics creating a window for entrepreneurial niches which did not exist before.

Thanks to Chris McNeil, Thaut Inc.!

#25- Everyone is aspiring to or becoming an entrepreneur

In the current times, everyone is aspiring to or becoming an entrepreneur in one way or another. Fewer people are relying on an employer & simply starting their own business. In today's world, small firms are the economy. From remote access to automated & AI advancement, starting a business has become more convenient. It has become more flexible & versatile & has nothing stopping passionate people from taking advantage of budding opportunities. In my opinion, entrepreneurship is heading in a ubiquitous direction.

Thanks to Timothy Woods, Carnivore Style!

#26- The pandemic lowered many barriers to entrepreneurship

Entrepreneurship will now be even more inclusive than ever before, as it is not only set to be built off of digital spaces but also driven by the speed & resilience of the new remote work model. This means that we can expect to see even more people from diverse backgrounds joining the fray, as future entrepreneurship looks set to be defined by new solutions that work anywhere, independent of location. We can also see even more digital nomads, increased collaborative opportunities,& faster timelines to market.

Thanks to Mila Garcia, iPaydayLoans!

#27- There is an increased culture of entrepreneurship

The number of entrepreneurs in the modern world is going to rise as compared to the previous decades. There is an increased culture of entrepreneurship in today’s world, & individuals are moving away from traditional employment. The world is laden with opportunities, & a business can be started without needing a physical space. The eCommerce industry enables people to come up with creative ideas & launch their ventures in just a couple of days. People today focus on having their startups at an early age. This is why we will see a lot more entrepreneurs in the future than we have.

Thanks to Rowena Kelley, Riskified!

#28- More entrepreneurs in the future with more competition

There will be many more entrepreneurs in the future, but also much more competition. The barriers to entry for digital entrepreneurship, particularly, can only climb as more digital real estate is eaten up by established eCommerce businesses. We might not see these effects for another 10 years, but at some point, it will be harder to compete with digital businesses that have established SEO dominance and therefore own the majority of consumer visibility on Google SERPs. Sure there will be more entrepreneurs but perhaps not more successful ones.

Thanks to Zach Goldstein, Public Rec!

#29- There will be fewer entrepreneurs in the future

In the future, there will be fewer entrepreneurs due to the rise in entrepreneurship we are seeing at the moment. More and more people are starting their own businesses due to websites and social media making it easier to connect with the world and see what the market demands. However, when more and more people do this, there will be less and less room for new businesses in any given niche. This means that soon we will see a decline in people starting businesses as it will become hard to rear a successful business in an already packed market.

Thanks to Jim Campbell, HoneymoonGoals.com!

#30- We will be seeing a large increase in entrepreneurs

The pandemic had an increase in entrepreneurs despite the fact that it affected many businesses negatively. More people are realizing their potential as an entrepreneur & how they provide for themselves without having to work a regular 9-5 job. Thanks to the increase in social media for businesses, it has become easier for entrepreneurs to promote their businesses and market to the right audience. I,  feel we will be seeing a large increase in entrepreneurs & unique businesses that cater to a niche market.

Thanks to Jim Sullivan, JCSI!
